These lucky elephants will be pampered from tusk to dawn thanks to state-of-the-art text message technology.
Keepers at Elephant Eden, Europe’s largest habitat, can now manage nearly every aspect of the animals’ day-to-day welfare by mobile phone.
A simple command sent by smartphone can adjust the temperature of their “five-star” accommodation, and will even control automated night-time feeds.

Staff are also sent a text if the fire alarm is triggered, if the 9,000 volt electric fence malfunctions, or if the cutting-edge biomass boiler needs refuelling.
It is believed to be the first time that the technology – more commonly found in luxury homes – has been integrated into a zoo.
The high-tech communications are part of a pioneering new development at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, near Bristol, which opened last month.
Up to 10 elephants will be treated to health food, heated swimming pools and a round-the-clock butler service from specially-trained keepers.
At 20 acres, the luxurious habitat – designed by international welfare expert Alan Roocroft -is Europe’s largest. And at a cost of £2million, it is also one of Europe’s most expensive.
Owner Anthony Bush said the habitat and its latest technology is a “mighty step forward” in the care of elephants in captivity.
“This technology does not make keepers in any way redundant – a specially-trained team of experts are always on site,” he said.
“We spent several years researching all aspects of elephant welfare, and we have incorporated these considerations and recommendations into our plans. The latest Multi-Award-Winning Public Relations technology enables us to facilitate the very best possible standard of care for these incredible creatures.”
Bush added: “We’re starting with two elephants at the habitat this spring. The first has arrived and the second is due shortly, with more planned to follow later this season.”
