Lady Gaga had better watch out she’s not upstaged by her new pal Rick Genest – aka ‘Zombie Boy’.
The 24-year-old, who stars alongside Gaga in her Born This Way video, has an entire skeleton tattooed across his body.
He even has an open skull and detailed ‘brain’ etched across his head.
The former circus performer was plucked from obscurity by Gaga’s stylist Nicola Formichetti – creative director for Thierry Mugler – who discovered him on Facebook and cast him as the lead in the label’s Paris Fashion Week show.
Rick, a self-confessed ‘street punk’ from Montreal, has admitted he is as surprised at his new-found fame as anyone else.
He told New York style bible WWD: “I’m super privileged.”
In an interview with Bizarre magazine he attempted to explain what drove him to turn himself in to a real-life monster – and the answer appears to be that he just felt like it.
He said: “I thought really long and hard about what I wanted, about what my passion was. And I decided I wanted to be a f***ing zombie.
“I’m so used to how I look now that I don’t see them anymore… My friends think it’s cool. It’s punk rock, you know?”
He also explained his tattoos’ effect on the ladies, saying: “There are girls who dig it, but the kind of girls who dig it are usually trouble.
“Some might look at you and think you’re mentally ill, but I’m not. I think I’m very on the ball.”
