A mum-of-two who was caught having sex with her 14-year-old schoolboy lover has been jailed for three years.
Susanne Divers, 25, was caught in bed with the lad when her partner came home unexpectedly from work.
She befriended the boy last year and began meeting him for secret sex sessions for two months.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was so chuffed about the affair he bragged to his mates on on Facebook: ”I’ve got the best girl in the world.”
Mum-of-two Divers pleaded guilty to eight offences of sexual activity between December 28, 2009 and February 2 this year.
She sobbed in the dock when she was jailed for three years at Leicester Crown Court last Friday.
Sentencing, Judge John Milmo QC told her she cheated on her partner in a ”flagrant manner”.
He said: ”You persisted to have sexual intercourse on about nine occasions.
”If ever there was a time to stop it was when the police warned to stay away.
”Your partner came home and found you both naked, with [the boy] lying on top of you.
”You betrayed your partner in a quite flagrant manner.
”He’s written to the court and appears to have forgiven you.”
Earlier the court heard Divers met the boy during a party when she was dared to kiss him.
They soon began swapping saucy text messages and naked pictures of each other.
The boy would play truant from school to meet Divers for sex at her home in Melton, Leics.
But when she ended the relationship he was so heartbroken he tried to hang himself and the pair started seeing each other again.
Paul Prior, prosecuting, said: ”There was no complaint by the boy, but she was warned by the police to keep away from him. They carried on and arranged meetings around the defendant’s partner’s shifts.
”On January 22, the boy visited the defendant’s partner and showed him incriminating texts and told him they’d had sex on seven occasions.
”She said it was lies and that she never wanted to see the boy again. He then went home and attempted to take his own life.
”On February 2 Divers’ partner was unwell and came home early.
”He heard noises upstairs and found the bedroom door locked. He pushed the door in to see the boy having sexual intercourse with the defendant.
”The boy ran away and the defendant was assaulted [slapped] by her partner, for which he was cautioned by police.”
Divers was bailed and sent the boy a love letter on February 27 saying she was ”engaged” to him.
Barbara McDonnell, mitigating, said Divers had lost the care of her two sons, aged six and eight, from a former relationship.
She said: ”It’s very unusual to find a female defendant facing charges of sexual activity.
”She takes full responsibility for her actions and makes no attempt to place the blame on him.”
Divers was also ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for live and banned from ever working with children.
A sex offences prevention order states she cannot have unsupervised contact with any male under 16.
