Winesdirect compares wine deals and offers from the UK’s leading retailers. They have over 100,000 drinks consumers as members and over 50,000 unique website visits a month. This year saw the launch of the Retailer of the Year Awards, voted for by the site’s members, who rated retailers in five different categories.

“We decided to run the awards due to an unprecedented amount of feedback from our members who wanted to know more about retailers, not just their drinks and their prices” said Jon Rebuck Winesdirect.com CEO. “The whole online purchase process from value, customer service, range, quality of website and delivery is an incredibly important part of influencing buying decisions” he added.
“We’ve accumulated well over 1000 comments on retailers and plan to publish them on the website, along with a facility for our members to add new ones. We already know our members like reading and writing reviews and ratings on the drinks themselves, so it makes sense to extend this to the retailers, whom our members rely on, every time they place an order”.
The results are based on a survey responded to by over 1200 members. The aim of launching the awards is to recognise major retailers in the UK market in a variety of categories.
