Whitney Houston’s only child, Bobbi Kristina ‘Krissi’ Brown, has spoken out after pictures of her allegedly taking cocaine were published in a newspaper.
The 18-year-old used her Twitter account to claim that the pictures, which were sold to US newspaper The National Enquirer by an unnamed ex-boyfriend, are “not what they look like.”
Krissi wrote: “The pictures – a former very dear person to me did this. Set me up to make it look exactly what it looks like.
“But it’s really not what it looks like… People will do anything for money which is extremely sad, and I’m very hurt by this.”
The photographs showed Krissi at a party snorting what appears to be white lines of cocaine.
Her ex-boyfriend claimed that the teenager, whose parents Whitney and Bobby Brown have both suffered well-documented addiction battles, is hooked on the drug.
He said: “I’ve tried to stop her, but all she said was ‘I’m just like my mother!’
“Whitney needs to see what her daughter is doing to herself. If Krissi doesn’t stop soon, this addiction to cocaine will kill her.”
He also claimed that Krissi drinks and smokes cannabis.
But Krissi batted off the claims, describing her ex as “a horrible relationship that went sour.”
She explained: “I was in love – he was in love with money. I’ve learned my lesson.”
Whitney spoke candidly about her addiction problems during a 2009 interview with Oprah Winfrey.
She explained: “After The Bodyguard it started getting heavy. Cocaine. Marijuana.
“We were lacing our marijuana with [crack cocaine] base. We would buy a kilo.”
The star confessed she had been forced into rehab by her own mother and was now sober.
