Victoria Beckham has been named the world’s most glamorous celebrity.
The much-maligned former Spice Girl, famous for her glossy pout and love of designer clothes, beat some of the most beautiful women on the planet to claim the title.
Victoria, now 36, always manages to look her best – even after stepping off a long-haul flight – proof if any was needed that a slick of lip gloss is the ultimate accessory for creating a glamorous look.
In second place was pregnant X-Factor judge Dannii Minogue, who showed off a glamorous new look on last year’s show.
A spokesman for Max Factor, which carried out the research to mark the launch of its Vibrant Curve Effect Lip Gloss, said: ”Victoria Beckham has been gracing the fashion pages for years now, and her glamorous looks have seen her design her own clothes range.
”She never leaves home without being fully made up and her signature glossy pout has become her calling card.
”Her simple tailored clothes, along with her love of heels and elegant make-up, have made her a fashion icon and queen of glamour.
”Over the years, she has surpassed her fellow wags and fans have tried to epitomise her look.
”But it seems that she might have a contender for the crown as Dannii Minogue has become more popular after showcasing a wide range of glamorous looks on the X-Factor.”
Third place in the poll of 3,000 women went to Tomb Raider star Angelina Jolie, also famous for a signature pout and simple style.
Pirates of the Caribbean actress Keira Knightley was fourth and TV presenter and singer Myleene Klass was voted in at number five.
America’s First Lady Michelle Obama was sixth. Michelle’s chic look won her an army of fans and saw her compared to another legendary First Lady Jackie Kennedy.
Sex and the City actress Kim Cattrall was seventh followed by Hollywood stars Cameron Diaz and Megan Fox.
X-Factor singer Leona Lewis completed the top ten.
Other celebrities to feature in the top twenty include I Kissed a Girl singer Katy Perry at number 12, Queen WAG Coleen Rooney, who was at 13, and Girls Aloud pop star Nadine Coyle at 18.
