The Spice Girl has struggled for popularity amid controversy over her singing skills, weight and inability to smile.
But she now appears to have finally turned things around after making it into 18th place in a list of celebrities we are genuinely fond of.
The only downside for Victoria is she is still a long way behind husband David, who came ninth in the poll.
A spokesman for OnePoll.com, which carried out the research among 1,000 adults, said: ”Victoria Beckham has always been unpopular with people, since her early days as a Spice Girl.
”She was seen as the posh one who couldn’t sing and rarely smiled.
”Things didn’t change once she got married to David Beckham as this simply meant that millions of women were jealous of her and bitter than she was the one who was married the best-looking bloke in Britain.
”But moving to America seems to have done her good in the popularity stakes as her success in the fashion world.”
Only Fools and Horses legend David Jason was at number three followed by Vicar of Dibley actress Dawn French.
Comedian Russell Brand completed the top five.
This Morning Holly Willoughby was voted into sixth place, followed by Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue.
Bolton comedian Peter Kay, David Beckham and Dermot O’Leary completed the top ten.
Other stars to feature in the top twenty include James Bond actor Sean Connery, This Morning and Dancing on Ice host Phillip Schofield and Gavin and Stacey star James Cordon.
