Elvis’ daughter Lisa Marie Presley has been spotted – working in a fish and chip van.
The singer moved to Rotherfield, East Sussex, two years ago and has been immersing herself in British life.
Amazingly, she was spotted working in the chip van owned by her new pals Kim and Justin Scales who also run local pub the King’s Arms.
Mrs Scales said the singer could not wait to don an apron to serve people.
She said: “She likes to see how we live and experience it.
“We were laughing because the customers didn’t know it was her. She really enjoyed it.”
The singer, who will release her third album next month, has also joined in a fun run held in aid of children’s hospice Demelza House, in Hever.
Mrs Scales added: “When she first came here she said she wanted to do the run, which her husband and children also took part in.
“Whatever she says she is going to do, she does it.
“It was the funniest thing. We all did this run and no one knew who she was.”
The daughter of the rock and roll legend and her guitarist husband Michael Lockwood moved to the UK from California.
She told BBC Radio 2 this week that she preferred her English neighbours over “self-absorbed” Californians.
She said: “I lived in the same neighbourhood for 17 years and I didn’t even know a neighbour.
‘When I moved here I was getting notes and flowers. That’s what I love about it. It’s simple, it’s not flash, it was a quality of life I needed.”
