These pictures show the terrifying moment a group of teenagers playing the game chicken were almost killed by a high-speed TRAIN.
The heart-stopping near miss was captured on camera as three youngsters stood in the middle of the tracks as a train thundered towards them.
Two other pals standing on the embankment can been seen egging their friends on.
Just yards before the train hits them the teenagers are seen leaping down an embankment narrowly avoiding being killed.
The British Transport Police are now investigating the incident which happened at 2.30pm on August 22 in the rail line just outside Bromsgrove, Worcs.
The group are also believed to have placed items on the line in front of the train – which could have had fatal consequences.
A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: “BTP is aware of images posted on a social networking site that appear to show a number of youths trespassing on the railway line near Shaw Lane, Stoke Prior.
“Enquiries are on-going to establish the full details of the incident.
“Officers would like to thank members of the public who have already come forward with information.
“However, officers would also urge anyone who witnesses an incident on the rail network to call BTP immediately on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016, so that officers can begin to investigate any alleged offences straight away.”
