A teenager today claimed her timid white pooch has the blues and is only happy when his fur is dyed bright colours.
Pearly Pomeranian pup Harvey Moon is normally shy, nervous and reluctant to mingle with people.
But after the two-year-old pup was dyed green for a music video he transformed into an attention-seeking bundle of fun.
Now Stephanie Mariam, 19, says Harvey, who is signed up to a doggie modelling agency, is only happy when his fur is dyed different colours of the rainbow.
The pooch has become a local celebrity as Stephanie takes it on tours of the south coast of England sporting different hair dos.
Support worker Stephanie, from Bournemouth, Dorset, said: “He has always been a lovely dog and he has always been very well behaved but he was quite quiet and quiet reserved.
“But when we dyed him green for the video he just came out of his shell.
“He was just a bundle of fun and actually went out his way looking for attention.
“As the dye washed out he started to get quieter again so it was suggested that I dye him a different colour.
“Once he was dyed again he was back bouncing about so we haven’t looked back.
“It obviously makes him happy.”
She added: “The first thing I loved about Pomeranian’s was that they looked like teddy bears and as I researched them more I liked the sound of their temperament.
“I fell in love with him as soon as I saw him and thankfully my mum said I was allowed to have him.”
But Stephanie has said that she did have reservations at first and was determined to make sure that the dye was safe for her furry best friend.
She said: “The dye itself is all vegetable based so it makes his fur really soft and actually improves its condition.
“When I first had discussions about doing it I made sure that everything was safe for Harvey.
“Harvey is my best friend, he is my baby. I don’t know how to put it any other way because he is the best companion I could ask for.”
Harvey Moon signed up with exclusive London Pet Models at the beginning of this year.
The lucky pooch was chosen to appear in a new music video for hit band Roll Deep and was turned green with safe vegetable-based dye.
