Police are hunting evil thugs who killed a pet cat by spearing it with a metre-long bamboo cane.
The two-year-old tabby called Jack died after he was skewered with the three-foot stick.
Yobs pushed the cane diagonally into his side which then passed through its abdominal wall, abdomen and diaphragm.

The sharp cane then pierced the cat’s chest and exited through its right armpit.
The cane measured about a centimetre in diameter and was found sticking out from his left flank by 20cm and his front by 10cm.
Brave Jack managed to crawl near home and was found horrifically injured under a car.
He was too injured to move and owner Alex Harris, 22, was forced to use a jack to lift the car to get to his beloved pet.
Jack was rushed to vets but did not survive the nightmare ordeal and police are now hunting the cat’s killers.

Owner of Plymouth, Devon, said: ”I doted on Jack. I’m so angry, I’m heartbroken, he was in the prime of his life.
”I adored him, he was my little champion and I’ve had him since he was a kitten.
He was my cat. No-one has the right to do that.”
Alex realised something was wrong last Friday when Jack stayed out all night – something he never does.
He said: ”Jack never stays out. I couldn’t sleep and was starting to freak out about where he was.
”My neighbour said to come quick and I saw him lying there under the car. It was just horrible.

”We jacked up the car to get him out, put him in a cat carrier and got him to the vets.
”My partner was keeping him conscious but he was bleeding a lot.”
Jack was rushed to Plymouth’s Estover Veterinary Hospital but died after a twelve hour fight for life.
Vet Richard Hazard said: ”When he was presented to us he was a very unwell cat. He was very flat and in shock.
”He was also very cold, so cold his temperature wouldn’t register. We have never seen anything like this before.
”Maybe animals stuck on railings or a fence, but not a stuck all the way through.
”It’s incredible and impressive that he crawled his way home and survived for so long. He was with us for 12 hours. He was a fighter.”
Alex is currently heading to the Falkland Islands with the Royal Navy where he works as a Leading Writer, involving administration and accountancy.
He reported the killing to Devon and Cornwall Police who are now investigating.
Officers say they are “deeply concerned” about the type of person behind the brutal act.
Detective Sergeant Esther Nodding said: ”This is a nasty and unusual case and we’re taking it very seriously.
”We’ve never dealt with anything like this involving the torture of a cat before and we have concerns about the type of person who would do this.
”Our officers were shocked at the violence against the cat.”
A spokesperson for the RSPCA called the perpetrators “cowardly, brutal and sadistic”.
She said they could face up to six months in prison and/or a £20,000 fine.
