Veteran rocker Bob Geldof yesterday revealed that Peaches’ wedding had gone “perfectly” and claimed he boogied on the dance floor until 1am in celebration of the newlyweds.
Speaking from the family home in Davington, Kent, Bob said Tom and Peaches had a “great day”, which was attended by celebs and relatives from across the globe.
The former Boomtown Rats front man said he kept up with his kids by staying on the dance floor until 1am.
He also said the wedding was even more special because Peaches’ sisters acted as bridesmaids on the day.
Bob said: “We have been here in Davington for 30 years now and Peaches was bought up here so this is home. It was a great day. All of her sisters were bridesmaids.
“Peaches and Tom both visit here a lot and they both had a great day which is the main thing. The church is just next door and this is where we associate our summers and Christmases as a family.
“We had family from Ireland and France here. We also invited neighbours and mates and we were dancing until one in the morning. It was perfect.”
A white marquee in the gardens of the family home was filled with hops on the day – a nod to the Kentish hops of the bride’s home county.
Peaches’ sister Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof read at the service, which was carried out by the vicar of Marden parish church Reverend Alison Duguid.
