An impressive range of e-readers from Canadian company Kobo all come with a nifty feature allowing text to be boosted in size, perfect for those with sight problems.
The easy-to-use gadgets can give the joy of reading to those whose poor eyesight means even large print books are not big enough.
The tiny Kobo Mini has a glare-free 5” electronic ink screen, which displays text of any size just as it would appear on a page.
Smaller and lighter than a normal paperback, it easily fits in pockets or handbags and also comes in three different colours, teal, red and purple.
A generous 1gb memory means the Mini is a portable library and bookmark – it can hold a whopping 1000 books AND keep your page in every single one of them.
Built-in wifi means books can be downloaded on the move, and the touch screen makes it satisfying when turning a page.
English scholar Tom McLenachan, who has severe myopia, struggles to read normal books.
He said: “It’s brilliant, the text is so large I can read it without my glasses now – it’s given me back my life.”
