One Direction’s Harry Styles was today spotted enjoying a very British day of romance with girlfriend Taylor Swift – in the Lake District.
The popstar couple were seen Christmas shopping in the Cumbrian tourist hot spot of Bowness-on-Windermere.
Harry was seen affectionately holding Taylor’s hand and walking through the town’s picturesque high street at around 2:30pm with a bundle of bags.
Lapping up the frosty sunshine, it is rumoured the couple were taking a break following a visit to meet Harry’s parents.
The couple told fans sweet Harry had taken Taylor to visit The World of Beatrix Potter earlier in the day.
Fan Claire Dibbs, manager of Pandora jewellers in Bowness, said the couple appeared to have done lots of Christmas shopping.
She said: “They came into the Pandora shop and were looking around and I thought I can’t believe it that’s Harry Styles and Taylor Swift.
“So when I saw someone snapping a picture with Harry I thought, I want a picture with them both – I was literally hyperventilating.
“They looked to have done lots of shopping in town, Harry was a little reluctant to have his picture taken but Taylor was really sweet.
“I am a big Harry Styles fan, but I have to say Taylor Swift was just so nice to me. I was asking her how long she is in the area for.
“I think they were just in for a day visiting with his parents. They had been to the Beatrix Potter shop and had loads of bags.
“We tried to persuade them in so he could buy her a nice shiny ring, but they were having none of it.
“They seemed very much a couple.”
On Tuesday Twitter went into meltdown with fans claiming to have seen Harry and Taylor in a Tesco near Harry’s home.
The Northwich supermarket is close to the singer’s hometown of Holmes Chapel, in Cheshire, and they apparently stopped off to buy groceries.
One fan wrote: “After leaving The Rising Inn, Harry and Taylor went to the Northwich branch of Tesco to pick up some groceries.”
