Animal charity PETA has put up a £1,000 reward to find a sick thug who plunged a heavily pregnant cat into a vat of hot tar.
Black and white cat Lilly was just two weeks away from giving birth when cruel pranksters dunked her in the black substance.
Lilly was spotted by a concerned member of the public hobbling along a street in Nazeing, Essex, on October 17.

The tar had solidified on its fur severely restricting the cat’s movement leaving it looking like a “walking fossil”.
Horrifically she was also in extreme agony as the tar had burnt large parts of her skin and caused clumps of fur to drop off her body.
Groomers at Mister Groom in Harlow, Essex, who cleaned Lilly up said she had collected tar on her legs making her paws appear they were double their normal size.
Now animal rights group PETA are offering #1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
Ben Williamson, from PETA, yesterday (Thurs) said: “It is imperative that any community faced with such horrific abuse of animals take measures to find the culprit or culprits and stop the violence.
“Animal abusers are a danger to everyone – they take their issues out on whoever is available to them, human or non-human.”
