A promising footballer has lost his fight against a rare form of cancer aged just 15.
Tragic Jordan Thorne was looking forward to a bright future at Bristol Rovers FC when he was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma in September 2008.
The teenage battled bravely against the rare cancer, which is found in bone and soft tissue, but died at 5.15pm on Wednesday.
His father Tim, mother Vanessa and sisters Carly, 22, and Aimee, 20, were with him when he passed away at home in Yate, Bristol.
Tim said: ”Essentially there was no cure and treatment options just ran out. When he went out he looked so peaceful. He had a smile on his face.”
