Police are hunting thieves who broke into the gardens of a stately home and stole two giant NUDE statues.
The large figures, one male and one female, were cut from plinths in the 12-acre gardens at the 15th Century Godlington House in Ashford, Kent, on Monday night.
Police say the 250-year-old solid lead nudes are valued at around £30,000
A spokesperson for Godington House said: “I hope they were stolen because they are valuable works of art and not because they are lumps of lead to be melted down.
“It would have taken at least two men to carry them, they were really heavy.”
