A mother-of-five who has completed the school run for nearly 20 YEARS celebrated her last ever journey – by hiring a LIMO.
Debbie Lipinski, 47, has driven 30,000 miles – more than the distance around the equator – while ferrying her brood to the local primary school.
She started the daily ritual in 1994 when eldest child Gino Strinati, now 23, started school in Cheltenham, Glos.
The community police officer has since driven Charlitta Strinati, now 22, Kyra Strinati, 18, Lara Lipinski, 14 and Rosa Lipinski, 11, to school.
And to celebrate Rosa’s last day before graduating to secondary school, Debbie hired a posh limousine to take her and 12 pals to Lakeside Primary School.
Debbie said: “It has been a long old slog, but now I’m so glad I won’t have to do the school run in the morning.
“From September, Rosa can go to school by bus with her sister, which will give me so much more time in the mornings.
“No more 8am starts for me.”
Rosa will attend Bournside School in Cheltenham in September, where elder sister Lara attends.
Debbie said: “Now Rosa can just come and go with her older sister, I won’t have to do the school run any more.
“My children are quite spread out in age, and when the three eldest were younger, they were all at different schools, so it was a bit of a nightmare.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if I’d driven more than 30,000 miles.
“The limo was a big treat for Rosa and all her pals.
“They all start high school in September, and some of them will be going to different schools, so it was a last hurrah for them all.”
Debbie and operations manager husband Paul, 53, have no plans for any more children.
