Commuters were stunned yesterday after seeing one of London’s iconic red buses covered in multicolored KNITTING.
The bus rolled past the capital’s landmarks in a woolly coat made by urban knitter Magda Seyeg.
It was a stunt by fizzy pop brand 7 UP as part of their TV commercials dubbed the Global Refresh which sees Magda knit bizarre items including guitars and fountains.
7UP said it was part of a marketing drive to connect the brand to countries around the world.
Brad Jakeman, President of PepsiCo Global Beverage Group which owns 7UP, said: ‘7up is an important, authentic trademark, with an immensely rich heritage and brand equity.
‘As global beverage consumption and consumer trends continue to evolve, 7up is an important asset in our portfolio and a terrific choice for consumers who crave an original, refreshing alternative to keep them going.’
