Welsh footballer Craig Bellamy has been arrested on suspicion of assault following a brawl at the weekend.
The Cardiff City striker was arrested in connection with a fight in the Welsh capital where two men suffered facial injuries.
A South Wales Police statement said: “A 31-year-old man has today been arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed pending further enquiries.”
Bellamy, who has played for nine clubs over the past ten years, is currently on loan at Cardiff from Manchester City.
He took the step down to the Championship from the Premier League after reportedly falling out with City boss Roberto Mancini.
High-flying Cardiff are currently second in the Championship – five points behind QPR. The Welsh team face Norwich this weekend with Bellamy looking to notch up his 150th career goal.
