This the moment a zookeeper proposes to his girlfriend – as an aggressive 15-ft long CROCODILE lurks behind them.
Billy Collett has been head of reptiles at Australia Reptile Park for ten years, looking after Elvis the saltwater croc on a day-to-day basis.
So when he wanted to propose to Siobhan Oxley, his girlfriend of three years, he wanted ensure his cold blooded colleague played an important role.
During the regular crocodile feeding show at the zoo in New South Wales, Billy lured the lethal reptile out of the water and then turned around towards Siobhan.
With crowds watching, he then got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend who said yes without hesitation, prompting cheers and tears across the park.
Elvis, who is 50-years-old and weighs more than half a tonne, has been nicknamed Australia’s crankiest crocodile because of his aggressive behaviour.
He has been living at the reptile park since 2007 after authorities captured him in Darwin harbour where he had been attacking boats. He has previously eaten two of his girlfriends.
And in 2011, he lost two teeth after ripping a lawnmower off one of the zookeepers.
