The X Factor final’s celebrity duets are one of the most talked-about moments each year, and Saturday’s slots are set to be the most star-studded yet with Christina Aguilera, Rhianna, Will I Am and Robbie Willams all confirmed as guests.
Black Eyed Peas frontman Will I Am is expected to duet with Cher Lloyd after repeatedly praising the teenager during interviews. He recently told a newspaper he would “sign Cher tomorrow” after being bowled over by her when he appeared on the show as a guest mentor.
He also publicly backed the 17-year-old after his band’s performance on Sunday’s show when host Dermot O’Leary asked who he expected to win.
Christina Aguilera, who is also believed to be performing a song from her new film Burlesque, is reportedly being hankered after by Dannii to duet with her protégé Matt Cardle, 27.
A source told The Sun: “A duet between Matt and Christina would be a magical moment – just like when Alexandra Burke dueted with Beyonce during 2008’s final.
“Matt’s voice is phenomenal and Christina can hit notes no one has dreamed of. They would be a perfect pairing no matter what song they sang.”
Boyband One Direction could potentially duet with Rhianna after covering her hit Only Girl in The World on last week’s ‘club classics’ show.
Matt Cardle is the bookies favourite to win the show at 5/6.
