A poll of 1,000 women found the majority think Coleen will stand by the £110,000-a-week star’s, whose dalliances with hooker Jenny Thompson were revealed this weekend.
If Coleen does forgive and forget she will be the latest in a long line of footballer’s wives who have brushed aside their husbands’ illicit affairs.

The research, carried out by online market research firm OnePoll, also found six out of ten women believe footballers cheat because they think they’re ‘untouchable’.
Others blamed the temptations of women throwing themselves at high profile players, while ‘too much money’ emerged as another reason.
Only one in three women said players who cheat on their wives shouldn’t be allowed to represent their country.
