A woman who was killed in a suspicious fire which gutted her home was yesterday named locally as Corby Craze.
Corby, 43, died when a blaze ripped through her two-bedroomed terraced home in Bodmin, Cornwall, on Saturday morning.
More than 40 fire fighters were called to the property around 7am and a body was found inside.
Police say the remains were too badly burned to formally identify yet but neighbours have named the victim as divorcee Corby Craze.
Officers say Corby is officially missing since the fire which they have described as “suspicious”.
A spokesman said: “Police are treating the discovery of an as yet unidentified body in a house in Bodmin as suspicious.
“Officers were alerted to a fire having been contacted by the fire brigade. Officers attended and an investigation in to the cause of the fire was commenced.
“At the time it was believed that the premises were unoccupied however a body was found in the premises shortly before 7.20am.”
