A woman was horrified after discovering her Facebook pictures being used for a dating website profile – looking for ‘WELL HUNG men’.
Verity Cook, 28, was shocked when a friend sent her to a link to a Plenty Of Fish profile for ‘Vicki’ – which was using five of her photos.
The fake profile was for a woman claiming to be a former model looking for ‘boys which as u say are well hung’.
Verity was shocked to see the account was using pictures of her in her gym crop top and leggings.
She also realised the photos were only posted on her private Facebook page so the imposter had to be one of her ‘friends’.
Verity, of York, a hair extension saleswoman and former model, said she has no idea who ‘Vicki’ – who also claimed to be from York – is or why they stole her pictures.
She said: “It has to be someone I have as a friend on Facebook, but I’ve no idea who, because I’ve got more than 2,000 friends.
“When I saw what they had written about how I like boys who are well hung I was angry – that’s awful.
“I think that most people know it isn’t me, but I am from York and I used to do modelling but I don’t brag about it. I am a bit freaked out about it.”
The profile for single ‘Vicki’ claims she is 5ft 6in, with an ‘adventurer’ personality, after casual dates with no commitment.
Her ‘about me’ section says: “Hi im Vicki from york I enjoy nights in and nights out and love boys which as u say are well hung lol I do some modeling from time to time anything else drop me a message.”
She found it earlier this week after a Facebook friend sent her a link to the profile.
She added: “Basically I got a message on Facebook for a guy who I am friends with and he said ‘I thought I should let you know someone is using your photographs’.
“I said I wasn’t on the website and got him to send me a screen shot and there I was.
That was the first I had heard of it.
“One of the photos was one I had put on Facebook just last week. Nobody has got a vendetta against me, and if they did surely they would use my real name.
“I’m just wondering what she is going to do when she meets up with someone she has met on there. She might be dumpy, she might look nothing like me.”
The page has now been removed from the website.
