A bag of human hair, a prosthetic leg and a set of dentures are among bizarre items donated to a homelessness charity.
A bird’s nest, an urn complete with ashes and a coffin also featured in the top ten ‘strangest’ gifts to the Emmaus superstore in Gloucester.
Neil Booker, Business Manager at the charity, said: ”Although we are grateful for all donations, some of things we unpack are pretty strange.
”I can’t honestly say that we sold many of the items that feature in the list, but it was certainly a hoot voting which things we deem to be the strangest.
”When donating goods to charities, it always worth thinking if the items are something that another person may find useful and want to purchase.”
Emmaus Communities house previously homeless residents who work at the business collecting, refurbishing and selling donated household goods.
