A filmmaker who founded a wedding video company when he was just 21 was thrilled today after his firm was recognised as one of the best in the COUNTRY.
Chris Buckley, 27, started out making short videos with his own camcorder but quickly spotted the demand for top quality wedding productions.
He began filming ‘luxury’ cinematic pieces for couples’ big days with his firm Perfect Moment Films, which has seen a surge in demand thanks to couples wanting to share videos of their big day on social media.
The company, based in Nottingham, has now been named the best makers of wedding videos in the East Midlands region at the Wedding Industry Awards 2015.
This puts them among the best in the country and they will go head-to-head with other filmmakers for the national award at the Cafe de Paris in London.
Chris said: ‘We are over the moon that Perfect Moment Films has won the award. We’ve come such a long way in the past few years and will only get better and better.
‘It’s a great honour to be nominated and then voted the best in the East Midlands by the couples who have used us and then to have the quality of our work chosen as the best by two of the industry’s top videographers. It’s an accolade to what we have achieved in the six years we’ve been in business so far.’
Perfect Moment Films’ success stems from the word-of-mouth reccomendations from happy newlyweds. They have a community of more than 4,000 followers on Facebook and have expanded into Cheshire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire.
Chris said that the growth in social media and faster internet connections has increased demand for quality wedding films.
He added: ‘While many people have access to smartphones, tablets and video cameras they don’t necessarily have the eye, the time and the editing skills to make films that they want to watch again and again.’
