Wayne Rooney’s unique Range Rover – which comes complete with his shirt number engraved on the alloy wheels – has been put up for sale on Auto Trader.
The mega-rich footballer, who recently signed a £300,000-a-week deal with Man United, bought the Overfinch Range Rover in 2009.
He spent more than £100,000 on the off-roader, opting for a number of luxury extras including specially made Rolls-Royce mats.
Over the next five years Rooney racked up 50,000 miles in the luxury off-roader, travelling from his home in Cheshire to Old Trafford and United’s training ground in Carrington.
But Rooney, 28, has now decided to chop the black Range Rover in and take a huge depreciation hit in the process.
The car, which has ’10’ engraved in the special 22-inch alloys, has been bought by a dealer and put on the market with Rooney as the only owner for £43,975.
Boss Performance in Bury, Manchester, is selling the top-of-the-range car on Auto Trader.
Baqer Raza, manager of Boss Performance, said: “It is a great car which has been highly customised and includes bespoke Rolls-Royce Phantom carpets and you don’t see those very often.
“This model has the best engine and, in Overfinch, the best aftermarket styling. It cost around £100,000 new so you’re getting a lot of car for your money.”
It boasts TV with Freeview, a DVD player, diamond quilted seats and roof-lining, leather quilted dashboard door, a reverse camera, sat nav and climate control.
Under the bonnet of the British-built car is a 3.8-litre diesel V8 engine which develops 271bhp.
This gives the car a 0-62mph time of 8.6 seconds and a top speed of 124mph. The four-wheel drive car will average around 25mpg with an annual road tax bill of £495.
The V8 diesel Range Rover is regarded as one of the finest cars around, with Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson viewing it as one of the best cars in the world.
