This incredible video shows the moment a dolphin did its best flying impression – by jumping several metres into the air.
Dolphins are regularly seen breaking the surface and performing acrobatic stunts.
But they rarely do it with as much vigour as this pod which was captured off the coast of Jersey.
Filmed by Aaron Bentley, director of Gorey Watersports Centre, the energetic creatures can be seen jumping completely clear of the water to the amazement of onlookers.
Aaron, 26, of St Hellier said: “It was a private trip behind the castle and there were four or five different pods in the area.
“They are quite common around there and we see them a lot.
“But these put on quite a show and were very playful. They were jumping around having a great time.”
