Virgin Atlantic campaign inspired by British Airways startup

Virgin Atlantic and Richard Branson are inadvertently supporting a British Airways startup with their new #GetOutOfOffice advertising campaign.

The Virgin campaign, which encourages people to #GetOutOfOffice with a quirky video, is undoubtedly taking its inspiration from OutOfOffice.com, the tailor-made travel company launched earlier this year after its founder and former ITV News journalist Darren Burn secured investment through a competition in British Airways’ Business Life magazine.

Commenting on the campaign, OutOfOffice.com founder Darren Burn said: “It’s great that Virgin Atlantic and Richard Branson are getting their inspiration from us! We love that they are jumping on the bandwagon and getting behind our idea to spend as much time as possible Out Of Office.

The company, which specialises in creating LGBT friendly travel experiences too, is the first to use imagery of gay and lesbian couples in equal measure to their straight counterparts.
