A Morrisons delivery driver had to abandon their vehicle – emblazoned with the slogan ‘my other van is a tractor’ – after he got stuck in the middle of a muddy field.
Villagers said the driver ended up a MILE from the road in a field after they apparently followed their sat nav down a footpath.
Stephen Campbell, 69, said fellow dog walkers were amused by the irony of the slogan on the side of the van.
He said the onboard sat nav inside indicated it was destined for a different location – but had apparently taken the driver through the field in Woodborough, Wiltshire.
Retired film director Stephen said: “It was a bit of a shock in this rural area.
“We think it followed the sat nav. We think it went down the country lane, and turned off on to the mud track.
“It’s on a public footpath. It’s the middle of a field.
“The dog walkers wondered if it was an advert or a spoof due to the way it was stuck and the slogan.
“It brought a smile to my face.”
A Morrisons spokeswoman said: “We always go the extra mile to deliver to our customers – but this one proved a bit much!”
