Donald Pemberton, aged 21, and Ryan Williams, aged 22, face five counts all relating to one incident in the early hours of New Year’s Day in the village of Tamerton Foliot. Appearing at Plymouth Crown Court to a packed courtroom and public gallery, Pemberton, of Victoria Road, St Budeaux, and Williams, of Haydon Grove, St Budeaux, jointly face the charge of murdering 27-year-old builder Tanis Bhandari, three counts of causing grievous bodily harm to Jamie Healy, Sean Cordon and George Walker and one count of actual bodily harm to Matthew Dawe. The pair deny all the charges.
