Tributes have been paid to a tragic teenage girl found dead at school who complained about racism she suffered on a site linked to several teenage suicides.
Police and paramedics were called to Pool Academy around 2.15pm on Tuesday but the pupil – named on social media as Dagmara Przybysz – was pronounced dead at the scene.
She is believed to be 15-years-old and had moved from her native Poland with her family to live in Redruth, Cornwall.
Enquires are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding her death but it is not being treated as suspicious.
Shocked friends described Dagmara as a “beautiful” and “lovely” girl.
And in an online question and answer session on ask.fm – which has been criticised over links to several suicides of young people – carried out before she died, Dagmara complained about suffering racism at the school.
Answering a question about what problems she had in school she replied “racism.”
A tribute page has now been set up in her memory and a day of remembrance is being planned at the school.
Friend Martin Ferris wrote on facebook: “RIP Dagmara Przybysz, we had some good times.
“I’ve always seen you as an amazing person, we’ve had some fun times that I won’t ever forget.
“You’ll fit perfectly up their in heaven, we won’t forget you. X”
Lauren Haydney wrote: “Rip Dagmara Przybysz such a beautiful girl , died a such a young age.”
Lauren Gardiner added: “R.I.P Dagmara Przybysz such a lovely girl. You will be missed.”
Officers and paramedics attended the school, between Camborne and Redruth in Cornwall, but the girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said: “Her next of kin has been informed.
“Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding her death but it is not thought to be suspicious.”
No one at the school has yet been available for comment.
Terlena Woodley wrote on Facebook: “My boy came home from school telling me, how awful.
“Rip beautiful young girl. My thoughts are with her family.
“Can’t imagine how they must be feeling.”
Another friend said they would be planning a day to remember Dagmara at school.
They said: “One day within the next week at school we will have a remembrance time where we will be saying goodnight to a beautiful girl who was taken far too soon.
“The details of this event will be put on here (her facebook memorial page) so if you want to come you’re more than welcome.”
Naomi Tregoning wrote: “So sad. A beautiful young lady xxx”
Dagmara, who is understood to have been found in a toilet block, posted the comments about suffering from racism at school on the ask.fm site two years ago.
But after her death several pupils today (weds) referred to continuing problems she was still reportedly suffering at the hands of bullies.
One friend posted: “It is so sad what people do to make people do this stuff. F*****g ridiculous.”
Another friend wrote: “Such a beautiful girl, died a such a young age because of absolute p***ks.”
Pool Academy released a short statement confirming the school would be open today (Wednesday) despite yesterday’s tragic events.
It read: “Following the tragic event, school will be open as normal as we feel this is the best way to support students and staff.
“Support will also be available from Penhaligon’s Friends, the School Chaplains and the Educational Psychology Team.
“A full statement will be issued once we have had the opportunity to speak to our students.”
The mood was sombre at the school this morning.
Parents were reluctant to talk outside the gates but one said: “It does shock me what’s happened because I have a child.
“I can’t say anything else because I only know what has been reported.”
Staff at the school initially said Principal Zelma Hill would talk to reporters but the head didn’t come out of the school gates.
It was later revealed that Mrs Hill “didn’t have time” to talk as a big assembly was being held to remember Dagmara.
Ambulance crews confirmed that the teenager was already dead by the time they arrived at the school.
South Western Ambulance said: “We were called to Pool Academy just before 2pm on Tuesday to reports of a female in a life-threatening condition.
“She was in a very serious condition so we sent two ambulances and an officer in a rapid response car but she was confirmed dead at the scene.”
Several pupils were spotted at the school gates this morning carrying flowers and it is understood a floral tribute has been set up within the school grounds.
Tributes have continued to flood in for Dagmara and questions are now being asked to how this was able to happen on school grounds.
Tamsin Chapple wrote on facebook: “How did it come to this? So very sad and such a tragedy of a beautiful young lady.”
Jordan Pidwell wrote: “Such a massive loss to the school! I can safely assure you that the atmosphere will be completely different in school for a long, long time.
“An irreplaceable lovely young lady who has passed too early.
“Words seem inadequate to express mine and my friend’s sadness about her passing! Rest in Peace angel.”
Helen Moon wrote: “Such a terrible tragedy! Such a terrible loss of a beautiful life! How was this able to happen? My thoughts to the parents, children and the staff of Pool school.”
Tina C-dalley wrote: “Can’t sleep, keep thinking about the sad events at Pool Academy yesterday afternoon.
“When I pulled up and saw the ambulances and police cars everywhere my heart sank and to see my son waiting I was so relieved.
“But for one family they only had sorrow. I really feel for all the staff and pupils today, they have a hard day ahead.
“Sending everyone at school love and strength to get through today. Xx
Emma Mills wrote: “Totally devastated for her family.
“You don’t expect to send your child to school and then never see them again.

Pool Academy has confirmed that Dagmara was a 16-year-old pupil who was described as having a “very bright future”.
In a statement school principal Zelma Hill said: “It is with overwhelming sadness that the Principal, Governors and Staff of Pool Academy can confirm the tragic, sudden death of one of our students.
“We are deeply shocked and saddened by the loss of Dagmara Przybysz.
“Dagmara was a beautiful, bright and creative 16 year old student with a very promising future ahead of her.
“She was passionate about fashion and photography. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dagmara’s family and friends at this difficult time.”
Ms Hill said she was personally devastated by the news.
She added: “The loss of Dagmara is heart-breaking. We are supporting students, staff and their families through this terrible time.”
Police confirmed they have formally identified Dagmara as the pupil who was found dead at the school on Tuesday.
A statement said: “Following formal identification, the 16-year-old girl who was found deceased at Pool Academy in Pool, Redruth, has been named as Dagmara Przybysz.
“Police were called at around 2.15pm on Tuesday 17 May following reports of a sudden death.
“Police and paramedics attended and the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin has been informed.
“Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding her death but it is not being treated as suspicious. A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Inspector John Hannaford, Sector Inspector for Camborne and Redruth, said: “We understand this is a very distressing time for the family and the school.
“We are working closely with them and will offer support where required. Our thoughts remain with family at this difficult time.”
