SWNS_TIMEWARP_HOUSE_02

A time-warp house which has been untouched since the 1970s has gone up for sale at offers over £275,000. See SWNS story SWWARP. The property features its own sauna and balcony, four bedrooms and interior décor that was all the rage when Starsky and Hutch dominated television screens and disco fever ruled the airwaves. At the time it was built, houses in Scotland cost on average around £11,500. On the outside, the detached Scandinavian-style building looks like a traditional bungalow but inside it is like stepping back in time. The home boasts lime-green and white kitchen cabinets, vibrantly patterned tiles and carpets and a wood-panelled ceiling in the living room. Both bathrooms are decorated with green and yellow patterned tiles and feature a green toilet and bath. Estate Agents Rettie said the home was constructed to the then owner’s specifications and sits on its own plot of land in the Glasgow suburb of Bearsden. And since listing the home they have been swamped by calls from interested buyers, with around 105 property views scheduled during just one week.
