This is the hilarious moment a red-faced yob was caught making an obscene hand gesture at a CCTV camera – before walking straight into a lamppost.
The hoodie-wearing lout was swaggering along the pavement in Dudley, West Mids., when he spotted the camera over the road and began aiming insults at it.
But as the thick thug was giving the middle finger to the CCTV before making another rude gesture he walked face-first into a 30ft-high lamppost.

A 24-second clip which was released by West Midlands Police shows the moment he slams into the post before he sheepishly carries on during a night in October.
Sergeant Rob Simpson, said: “I guess you could call it swift divine intervention.
“Camera operators are here with the sole aim of keeping our communities safe and monitoring suspicious behaviour – they don’t deserve abuse.
“We have 177 CCTV cameras across the borough of Dudley.
“They are all overt, none are hidden, but at the same time they are not intrusive – the vast, vast majority of people go about their daily business oblivious of the cameras.
“It’s only people who are concerned about their behaviour or up to no good that seem to be conscious of them.”

A force spokesman added: “No further action was taken against the individual.
“The clip around the ear from the lamppost was a just punishment for his poor behaviour.”
CCTV cameras in the area were used recently when they picked up footage of a break-in at Dudley bus depot.
After watching the tapes, officers quickly arrested a man on suspicion of burglary and also alerted police to a suspicious man at a disorder who was later found with a knuckleduster.
This is what passes for news these days!
Ans some jobsworth at the CCTV HQ thought it would be a good idea to put this out to news agencies. Pathetic.

The camera is clearly tracking the young man before he flips it the bird.

Rubbish.
