A thug has been jailed for throwing acid on two teenage brothers, leaving them scarred for life.
Levi Bruce hurled drain cleaner at the pair, aged 19 and 16, in retaliation for an argument.
The older boy told police the attack made him feel like he was being ‘burned by a blow torch’.
A court heard that Bruce, 31, had flagged down the two brothers as they drove home in January.
He threw the acid over the 19 year-old and when his younger brother went to help Bruce, of Swanley, Kent, repeated the horrific act and covered him in drain cleaner.
The 16-year-old suffered extensive burns to his chin, chest, arms, stomach and legs.
His older brother received burns to his face, head, neck, arms, chest and legs, and both were left scarred for life following the shocking incident.
Bruce pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent at Maidstone Crown Court last Friday and was jailed for seven years.
Detective Constable Roger Harris said: “To say this was a malicious and mean-spirited attack is an understatement.
“Drenching two men in a corrosive substance is an appallingly violent thing to do.
“Bruce claimed in interview that he just threw the contents of the bottle at them in self-defence and had no idea what sort of liquid it contained. I absolutely reject this idea.
“Both victims will be scarred for life from their injuries and have months of medical treatment ahead of them.
“I welcome the news Bruce will be behind bars for the part he played in this disgraceful incident.”
