Dominic Halliday-Fox (21) admitted inflicted the fatal stab wound that killed Dante Francis but denied murder. He was found guilty following a trial at Nottingham Crown Court and was sentenced to life in prison, to serve a minimum of 23 years. Mr Francis, of Leicester, and Halliday-Fox, of no fixed abode, had been at the Empire bar, in West Street, Swadlincote, in the early hours of April 10 when an argument broke out and Halliday-Fox stabbed Mr Francis.
