A teenager has been fined after he stole a saucy sex toy from Tesco because he was too embarrassed to buy it in front of female cashiers.

He was stopped trying to leave the store in Cannock, Staffs., on December 6 and the police were called after he attempted to run off.
He admitted theft when he appeared at Cannock Magistrates’ Court on January 12 and was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
The court heard Cooper, of Cannock, Staffs., picked up the sex toy – which claims to boost clitoral sensation for women – along with a bottle of Lucozade and a cake.
But when he approached the cashiers he realised all of them were women and was too ashamed to buy it so stole it instead.
Prosecutor Zoe Speake said: “When Mr Cooper was stopped at the exit of the store he ran off across the car park.”
Serena Joshi, defending, said: “Mr Cooper had the money for the item but was simply too embarrassed to pay for it.”
