Take That stars Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow are battling to see who can shed the most pounds in time for their tour.
The lads – both known as the porkers of the band – have a four-figure bet on who can trim down the most before their European tour kicks off in May.
Robbie explained to The Sun how they are determined to beat each other in the salad-munching stakes.
He said: “Gary and the boys were at my house in LA last week when Gary turns to me and says, ‘I won’t be needing these clothes soon, do you want them?’ – ‘cos he’s going on a diet.
“That was the day I thought, ‘Right, if you’re eating a lettuce, I’m eating half a lettuce.’
“There is now a serious game on to see who can get the thinnest for the tour.
“You know The Machinist with Christian Bale? I’m going for Christian Bale.”
It must be tough standing next to human beanpoles Mark, Jason and Howard but hopefully Robbie won’t take his weight loss quite that far – emaciated Christian dropped a staggering 4.5 stone for the role.
