Britain might be braced for a heatwave this weekend, but one seaside resort is setting temperatures soaring for a different reason.
Hundreds of bikini-clad babes are set to descend on Newquay, Cornwall for Britain’s first ever surf festival for women.
Brainchild of top surfer and model Corinne Evans, Surf Bettys is expected to draw in toned beach chicks from across the UK to the country’s top surf location.

The day-long event will see female-only surf competitions, as well as stalls, surfing classes and other attractions spread out across the beach at the Cornish coastal town of Newquay.
Brunette stunner Corinne, 26, said: “There isn’t that much for women surfers in England, so I thought I should organise something myself.
“In other parts of the world there are women only surf competitions, but not so much in the UK.

“It is getting better but there still isn’t that much going on. I like a challenge so I thought I should just do it.”
Corinne, who has been riding the waves since her family moved to Newquay when she was 13, hopes the August 2 event will prove a great hit, and hopefully become an annual summertime tradition.
She added: “Surfing is still a niche sport and a niche market. There are still lots of people who think it is just a bum sport. It’s not, but it is a sport that’s definitely good for your bum.”
The surf festival comes as health officials warned that a heatwave will roast Britain.
Temperatures over the next few days are predicted to reach between 84F (28C) and 89F (32C), according to the Met office.
