(Bugatti Veyron Centenaire – £1.4 million)
Residents in a swanky part of London have complained to their council about supercar drivers keeping them awake at night.
Owners of Bugattis, Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Koenigseggs have been causing a nuisance by turning Knightsbridge into a mini racetrack – revving their cars until 3am each morning.
Now exhausted neighbours have had enough of the constant sound of roaring engines and complained to Kensington and Chelsea Council about the inconsiderate motorists’ anti-social behaviour.
Bruce Beringer, 62, a solicitor and management consultant, who lives on Sloane Street, told The Telegraph: “It’s like having the starting grid to Le Mans right outside your bedroom window.
“Dozens of these cars do laps around Knightsbridge right through the night and the excitement for the drivers seems to be seeing how loud they can rev their engines. The area is fast becoming a very unpleasant place to live.”
The influx of supercars in the exclusive part of town coincides with the recent purchase of Harrods by the Qatari royal family and what is known as ‘The Season’ when rich Middle Eastern businessman visit Britain.
The wealthy motorists, who are often photographed in Monaco driving the same motors, play the ultimate game of one-upmanship by decking their supercars out in unique paintjobs.
Last month a one-off £1.5 million Koenigsegg CCXR owned by the Qatari royal family were clamped outside Harrods.
It’s understood Kensington and Chelsea Council are arranging a meeting with the Qataris but they don’t have any jurisdiction over noise on public highways.

Well it's Ramadhan, so they are sleeping and fasting all day. It's only natural that they'd come out at night.

Slightly irritating e60 driver wound the Lambo driver up. Both could have waited a moment.
