A controversial student ball held to promote safe sex has been scrapped after two amorous undergraduates were caught romping on CCTV.
The randy pair were filmed enjoying a steamy tryst in a student bar at Exeter University’s Safer Sex Ball in Devon.

The annual party event – which has been raising money for the fight against aids for the past 21 years – has now been axed by organisers, says the Exeter Students Guild.
A spokesman said: “In spite of significant efforts in recent years, the event’s association with promoting safer sex has been overshadowed with a less positive image, leading to unintended consequences for students who attend the event.”
Students took to Twitter after the news was announced Wednesday, describing it as the “End of an Era.”
The romping scholars, who wore fancy dress costumes during their clinch in the uni’s Ram bar, have never been identified.
