A lightweight fabric is taking the outdoor world by storm – providing unprecedented warmth without any movement restriction.
Ultra-lightweight Exo/Therm fleeces work by trapping air between the tightly-woven synthetic fibres, helping the wearer keep warm in incredibly cold weather conditions.
The fabric, designed by clothing specialists Sprayway, also provides some degree of protection from showers, and is quick drying to help after heavier downpours.

Outdoor performance clothing company Sprayway have recently released a new range of coats and jackets using the high-tech polyester velour fabric, including an updated version of the classic Compact 3-in-1.
Vitali Brown braved Russian temperatures of -14 degrees Celsius in little more than a lightweight Sprayway Compact 2 jacket – which weighs just 533g.
The coat consists of a Gore Tex Performance Shell waterproof layer with a detachable Exo/Therm fleece lining.
He said: “I have never worn a coat so light that kept me so warm.
“It’s brilliant – it kept me so toasty, and it’s wind resistant.”
A spokesperson for Sprayway said: “We’ve spent years working extremely hard at our Exo/Therm fleece family to make sure all the fabrics we use maintain their appearance and functionality – even after repeated washing cycles.”
