The third instalment of last year’s biggest selling toy will be unveiled next week, its makers announced.
Skylanders SWAP Force is set to become the biggest children’s computer game of all time, its developers Activision say.
The first game, Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure, was released in 2011 and more than £300 MILLION worth of toys and accessories have been sold.

Skylanders has been a global hit and is a combination of computer game and figurines that ‘magically’ come to life when they are placed on a sensor.
The new version will be unwield next week and will introduce 16 new characters into the franchise.
Activision will unveil the game at New York’s Toy Fair 2013 and it will be available later in the year on Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintento Wii.

Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, Inc. said: “The idea that kids can customize their own characters in the physical world, and have their unique combinations recognized in the virtual world, is an idea as big as the concept of bringing toys to life itself.”
A release date has not yet been set but it is thought Skylanders SWAP Force will hit the shelves in time for Christmas.

Skylanders Giants was the bestselling toy and game last Christmas, shifting tens of millions of copies and figures in the UK alone.
