Actress Liz Hurley and her cricketer fiance Shane Warne have submitted plans refurbish their multimillion pound home.
The Hollywood A-lister and her Australian fiance are believed to be behind the plans which will see part of their £6 million Georgian country mansion restored and repaired after “damage”.
Plans include demolishing an existing conservatory extension and replacing it with a garden room with large glazed double-opening doors.
The couple will also add en-suite bathrooms to a number of the 13 bedrooms and the main staircase at landing level is to be opened up at one side.
Drawings were submitted to Herefordshire Council for their home at Donnington Hall, in Ledbury, and it is thought permission will be granted next month.
A design and access statement included in the application said interior works will consist of a “sensitive refurbishment and redecoration”.
Many windows and doors will be repaired and refurbished while two windows that are currently blocked up will be reinstated.
“In addition to general refurbishment and redecoration works, the overall ambition of the works to Donnington Hall is to undo a lot of the damage done over the last century with inappropriate design choices,” read the statement.
The impressive grade II-listed property, boasts a tennis court, fishing lake, housekeeper accommodation and 21 acres of woodland.
Actress Miss Hurley, who shot to fame in the early 1990s while dating actor Hugh Grant, had previously lived across the border in Gloucestershire.
She was engaged to Aussie Warne, widely regarded as one of the world’s greatest spin bowlers, in 2011.
It is thought that one of the property’s features that impressed equine fan Liz is the hall’s Edwardian stables and open fields.
A decision on whether the work can go ahead should be made by July 11 – the day after the Ashes series between England and Australia gets under way.
