Tragic Emma Welch underwent surgery to correct her painfully-curved spine on June 3 last year and it appeared to be successful. But the following night she suffered a huge internal bleed which drained her heart and caused her to have a fatal heart attack. Had she been rushed straight to an operating theatre as soon as the problem was picked up on she may have survived, an inquest heard.
