Rahim Woods has raised more than £1,500 after deciding to shed his 3ft head of hair which reached his knees. As he is starting secondary school in September he and his family decided it was time for a change – but they knew they would have to do something special. After discussing what to do with his parents and siblings Rahim decided he would lop off his locks to raise money for the The Thomas Ball Children’s Cancer Fund. The initial target was set at £500 on his Just Giving page but within three days donations had come pouring in and he has now raised £1565. Friends and family attended the event at The Eden Centre shopping centre in High Wycombe where Rahim took to the chair to face the scissors.
