GV of the Dorcan Academy in Swindon Wiltshire where an 11 year old boy
was hit by lightning earlier today, September 26 2012. See SWNS story
SWBOLT: An 11-year-old schoolboy was fighting for life in hospital
after being struck by LIGHTNING outside his school. The pupil suffered
severe burns and went into cardiac arrest after being hit by the bolt
outside Dorcan Academy in Swindon, Wilts., at 3.10pm. Horrified staff
at the school dialled 999 as trained first aiders began administering
CPR to the Year Seven lad. Paramedics arrived at the scene in just six
minutes and were able to revive the boy before taking him to Great
Western Hospital in Swindon.
