Staff at a primary school were forced to remove a poster advertising the film Madagascar 3 – after a complaint by a parent.
Darren Moore said the poster was ”inappopriate”’ – because it was exposing children to advertising who are there ”to learn not be seduced”.
School head Vicky Dupras took down the poster – which the school are paid £10 to have on display.
The Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted banner was put up at Avonmouth Primary School in Bristol.
Mr Moore said: ”I am totally opposed to adverts aimed at primary school children and worry that if deemed acceptable it will become more commonplace.”
The headteacher says it has now terminated its contract with JazzyMedia, who paid the school a small amount to display promotional posters.
She said: “We agreed that adverts for movies was inappropriate and it’s now gone. We’ve put a Keep Britain Tidy poster up there instead.”
