There were many rumours about what the Samsung Galaxy S4 would be like, and although many of those rumours were somewhat over-optimistic, the actual phone is anything but a disappointment.
It is already selling in huge numbers, and its projected sales are anticipated to beat those of its predecessor the S3 and the completely swamp the sales of the iPhone 5.
In many ways the Galaxy S4 is the most advanced smartphone to appear on the market and for anyone who enjoys mobile gaming there is no better device for enjoying it on.
One of the most important features when it comes to gaming is the display.
Nowadays we tend to demand the very best from our phone displays, and with the S4 that is what you get. It is full HD and the colour rendition is perfect.
There is no visible distortion or colour cast even when viewed as close as your eyes can focus, and the contrast levels are as high as on any mobile device.
The only possible criticism is that the Super AMOLED display is not as bright as the LED display in the iPhone 5, which means that it is not quite as good as the iPhone for gaming in bright sunlight.
The sensitivity of the touch screen has been increased and not only does this allow gloves to be worn when playing games, it can also be used in touch-less mode so that you can scroll and swipe while keeping your greasy fingers away from the screen.
The phone has a faster quad core processor than the S3, though some of the overseas versions have 8 core processors.
Why Samsung chose to use just a quad core in the UK is unclear, though it seems to make very little difference to its overall performance.
It is perfect for all kinds of gaming, and especially for Android optimised mobile casino games of the type that you will find at Lucky Nugget.
